With the aim of promoting the use of the Virtual Campus features aimed at improving the teaching-learning processes, the Vice President for European convergence and quality Announces aid for the realization by the teaching staff of the University of Alicante's educational innovation projects.
The objective of this call is both the materials specifically designed to be used in Virtual Campus, such as the implementation of strategies and use of tools intended to improve the quality of training in subjects of the University of Alicante.
They will have special consideration those projects covering the adaptation to the new model of credit (European system of transfer of ECTS credits) which involves putting up the European area of higher education.
The intellectual property of the subsidized projects, will correspond to their authors.
Overall this type of allocation, within the call for aid for 2004, amounts to 90,000 euros.

The Faculty of the University of Alicante will be able, individually or in group, submit a draft using the teaching tools of the Virtual Campus. Those projects presented on computer by several profesor@s responsible for a teaching scheme in subjects and students or members of a group established in the networks of teachers of the ICE, will have a special consideration, despite the fact that may not exceed the limit of the Endowment by project (established in %u20AC1,000).
The project can contemplate the need to receive technical support provided by the services of the University of Alicante. In this case you must specify the type of support required, the activities to develop and an estimate of the hours needed to perform the tasks of support.
The monitoring of the implementation of projects, technical support and methodological advice will be channeled through the point DIT (teaching and technological innovation).
Presentation of the projects: until January 15, 2005 (extended until January 21).
Resolution and supports communication: 15 February 2005.
Availability of support: 100% of aid in February 2005.
Report on the degree of implementation of the project: July 15, 2005.
Project completion: December 21, 2005.
Meeting on educational innovation (public presentation of the results of the project): February 2006.
Projects submitted must be taken as a model which is available on the website (word format) of educational innovation unit, within the period specified in this call for proposals including:
(a) identification: specify the title of the project, the areas of knowledge and subjects involved (number of students).
(b) planning and methodology: starting point, objectives that are intended to, work plan.
(c) detailed description of tools, materials, and teaching resources that are to be used.
(d) technical support (in your case). It will be convenient to explain own technical resources to the authors of each project and where appropriate materials used, detail exhaustively the additional assistance from the technical services of the University of Alicante (hosting on server, work of programming, web design, multimedia design, etc.).
The application (word format) form will be presented to the General registry, directed to the Vice President for European convergence and quality, and also a copy will be sent by email to the address email@example.com
