Defining the Appearance of a Page

Objectives:


  •        Define margins for the entire document.
  •        Insert numbers page in a document.
  •        Create a header or walk to be repeated on every page.
  •        Create a header or foot for each part of the document.

    PREPARATION pages of a document

    In order

    Page Setup from the File menu you can set margins, size, origin and orientation of the paper document. And change these specifications for the current section, from the insertion point forward to the selected text or whole document.

    HEADINGS AND FEET BUILDING

These parts of the document can contain any text, though it is normal to insert them in eg the date, page number or document name.

    There are two ways to insert page numbers in a header or footer. With the order of page numbers you can insert the current page number and also specify the initial number or select a special format for them, such as Roman numerals uppercase or lowercase. With the order header and footer can insert the date, time, text fields that contain information related to the document in use and the page number.
