Sometimes it may be necessary that, after delivery of the questionnaire data, is send a confirmation to the user or even email to ourselves. This situation is common when we use the forms to make entries to events, courses, symposiums, etc. or, in general, for any kind of request.
To enable the sending of emails, we should mark the corresponding option in the properties of the questionnaire:
Automatically, the status bar we will see the icon, indicating that we have enabled the sending of confirmation emails.
At the time that mark the option "send email", opens a window in which you can configure the e-mail data.
The data that you can specify are:
The issue of e-mail. It is a call sign of the content of the email.
The recipients of the email. The email can go users who carry out the questionnaire or to a fixed address. We can also specify addresses in copy and blind carbon copy. By default, the e-mail specified in the email associated with the questionnaire appears on the blind carbon copy field.
We must bear in mind that, to send e-mail to users, the form you have to specify a text (of type "mail") field to enter your contact e-mail.
In our example, the created text field has the word "email" as the call sign name. As we all know, the name of the field is important to subsequently identify what data we are accessing or which data are showing.
It is good practice to indicate that the email field is mandatory to ensure that users do not leave it blank and can receive the confirmation e-mail.
If the form has a field of type e-mail text, it automatically appears in the configuration of the mail in the field "who is". Since this value is a variable, i.e., it is different for each user who sends the questionnaire, the right way of expressing it is indicating the name of the field enclosed in double brackets.
In the menu of the "target" box, we can access all variables of type "mail" in the form, by clicking on the arrow icon, marked in red on the image. The variable "emitter" is an internal questionnaire data and contains the value that you specify in the field 'associate mail' of the properties of the questionnaire.
If we don't want to send emails to users, but we just want to be sent to a fixed address whenever a dispatching of data, it would suffice with manually typing the destination email.
Body of the message. It can consist of fixed text combined with any of the data entered into the form (variables). The variables are available in the icon .
The icons that appear at the top allow you to:
Expand the edit window to make us more comfortable viewing and the wording of the text.
Copy the existing text in the box thanks.
Copy the template full of variables from the questionnaire.
Finally, simply there to close the settings window. If you want to modify any data, we can access again this window by clicking on the icon on the toolbar. (This icon is only displayed when the sending of emails is enabled).
