Fields of text entry allows the user to write freely a relatively short response. If you need users to write more amount of information it is recommended to use instead a remarksfield.
To add a text input field, all their editable features are loaded in the tab "Properties":
"Text type" options allow us to specify the information that must be inserted into the text box and, at the same time, be carried out, to the extent possible, a validation of data entered.
For example, if in one of the fields of the questionnaire, we want the user to enter their email, we'll mark the type "mail". When the user fills in the form, you must enter a valid email address (that matches the pattern following e-mail addresses) that if he does not, to send the data, a message indicating that the data are correct and that you must correct them.
The possible types for a text input field are:
Text: for any type of text. Does no checking of data.
Numeric: numeric values with or without decimals. It must be checked if the text box contains a valid number.
It is possible to indicate the number of decimal places allowed. The indicated value is displayed in the help text that appears when you click on the form field. If a user enters more decimal than those specified, there will be an automatic to the indicated number of decimal rounding.
NIF/NIE: to request the number of ('12345678Z') NIF or NIE ('X1234567L'). Shall be verified that the entered characters are a NIF or NIE valid. When user click on this field, a message of support.
IBAN: to request numbers of bank accounts of this type. The IBAN (International Bank Account Number) identifies a number of account that is unique in Europe, which will contain information about the country, Bank, account and office.
Currency: monetary values in euros. It must be checked if the text box contains a valid number.
Email: for email addresses.
